The Body will be performing at Reverb Lounge in Omaha, Nebraska on July 16, 2026. The Body is an American experimental metal band formed in Wilmington, Delaware in 2003. Their music is often described as a fusion of doom metal, noise, and industrial elements, frequently incorporating spoken word passages and intensely emotional lyrical themes. Characterized by heavily distorted instrumentation, dynamic shifts between quiet ambience and crushing intensity, and vocalist Chip King’s distinctive delivery alongside guitarist/vocalist Kelli Scott’s contributions, the band has released numerous albums through labels like Relapse Records and Thrill Jockey. They are known for challenging genre conventions and creating a uniquely oppressive and cathartic sonic experience.

Reverb Lounge is a long-standing independent music venue located in the Benson neighborhood of Omaha. Established in 2007, it has become a prominent hub for both local and touring acts across a variety of genres including rock, punk, metal, and indie music. The venue is recognized for its intimate setting – with a capacity generally under 250 people – and its focus on supporting emerging artists alongside established names.
