The Body will perform at Mississippi Studios in Portland, Oregon on July 22, 2026. The Body is an American experimental metal band formed in Providence, Rhode Island in 2007. Their music is characterized by a fusion of elements including doom metal, drone, noise, and industrial music, often incorporating intensely heavy and emotionally raw themes. Vocal performances frequently alternate between harsh screams and clean singing. The band has released numerous albums and collaborated with artists across diverse genres, establishing a reputation for challenging and unconventional soundscapes.

Mississippi Studios opened in 2003 and is a well-known independent venue located in the Mississippi Avenue district of North Portland. Originally constructed as a church in 1912, the building was renovated into its current form as a performance space while retaining some of its original architectural features. It’s known for its intimate setting and focus on showcasing a variety of musical acts, spanning indie rock, folk, country, and experimental genres. The venue also operates as a recording studio and hosts community events alongside its concert schedule. Its capacity is approximately 300 people.
