The building underwent extensive renovations between 2007 and 2010 to modernize facilities while preserving its architectural integrity. With a capacity of approximately 768 seats, the Opernhaus Dortmund serves as the home venue for opera, ballet, and concert performances by the Theater Dortmund ensemble; it also hosts visiting national and international companies.
