Superchunk will perform at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in London on June 24, 2026. Superchunk is an American indie rock band formed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in 1989. Their music is generally characterized by a blend of melodic songwriting, energetic performances, and a distinctive lo-fi aesthetic, evolving over time to incorporate more polished production while retaining their raw emotional core. Often associated with the 90s indie rock scene, they are considered influential figures in the development of alternative music.

The ICA, established in 1946, is a cultural centre located on The Mall in London. Originally founded by Roland Penrose and Peter Watson with Herbert Read as its first director, it has a long history of supporting and showcasing experimental film, visual arts, music and performance. Unlike traditional galleries or museums, the ICA doesn't maintain a permanent collection; instead focusing on a rotating programme of exhibitions and events that often push boundaries and explore contemporary cultural themes. It has historically provided a platform for emerging artists and challenging artistic expressions across multiple disciplines. The building itself underwent significant refurbishment and reopened in 2008 following an extensive renovation project.
