Sudan Archives, the stage name of Brittney Parks, will be performing at Duo in Tokyo, Japan on October 8, 2026. Parks is an American violinist, vocalist, and songwriter known for a distinctive musical style that blends R&B, electronic music, and West African fiddle traditions. Her work often incorporates looped violin melodies, processed vocals, and experimental beats, creating a sound described as both futuristic and deeply rooted in ancestral sounds. She gained prominence with her self-released EPs *Golden Brown* (2017) and *Sink* (2018), followed by her critically acclaimed debut album *Athena* (2019) and subsequent album *Mystical Place* (2022).

Duo is a live music venue located in the Shibuya district of Tokyo. Opened in 1996, it’s recognized for its intimate setting and focus on showcasing diverse musical genres including jazz, electronic music, and experimental sounds. The venue has a capacity of approximately 300 people and is noted for its high-quality sound system and close proximity between performers and audience members.
