STRFKR is scheduled to perform at Pepsi Center WTC in Mexico City on October 16, 2026. The band, originating from Portland, Oregon, creates music generally categorized as indie pop and dream pop, frequently incorporating elements of synth-pop and lo-fi aesthetics. Their sound is characterized by layered synthesizers, driving basslines, and often features introspective or melancholic lyrical themes contrasted with upbeat tempos. Formed initially as a solo project by Joshua Pontius in 2007, STRFKR has evolved into a multi-member band releasing numerous albums and EPs throughout their career.

Pepsi Center WTC (officially Arena Ciudad de México) is a significant indoor arena located within the World Trade Center Mexico City complex. Opened in 1993, it has hosted a wide variety of events including concerts by internationally renowned artists, sporting competitions – particularly basketball games featuring the NBA – and large-scale conventions. The venue boasts a capacity of approximately 22,300 for concerts and is known for its adaptable configuration allowing for varied event setups. It underwent renovations in 2015 to upgrade facilities and enhance the overall spectator experience.
