Staatskapelle Dresden, one of the world’s oldest and most esteemed orchestras, will perform at the Musikverein in Vienna on April 21, 2027. The orchestra is historically associated with a rich, warm tonal quality and a tradition deeply rooted in the German-Austrian classical and romantic repertoire. While capable of performing music from all eras, they are particularly renowned for their interpretations of composers such as Richard Strauss, Richard Wagner – with whom the orchestra had a long and significant relationship – and Carl Maria von Weber.
