Snowboy, the British jazz-funk and acid jazz band prominent during the 1980s and 90s, is scheduled to perform at Lulworth Castle on August 1st, 2026. Their music blends elements of jazz improvisation with funk grooves, incorporating influences from soul and electronic music; notable tracks include “Anything But Love” and “Music Is The Key”. The band originally formed in the early 1980s and achieved success with a series of albums and singles before disbanding and later reforming for occasional performances.

Lulworth Castle, located in East Lulworth, Dorset, has a history dating back to the 16th century. Constructed by Thomas Howard, the first Earl of Arundel, it was substantially altered in the 18th and early 19th centuries by James Wyatt for Herbert Bankes. While initially a fortified manor house, it evolved into a country house reflecting Palladian architectural styles. The castle grounds encompass extensive parkland originally laid out as pleasure gardens.

Throughout its history, Lulworth Castle has remained largely within the ownership of the Bankes family. It experienced significant damage during the English Civil War and underwent restoration efforts over subsequent centuries.
