Snowboy, born Mark Cotgrove, is a renowned British percussionist, bandleader, DJ, and music producer celebrated for his vibrant fusion of Latin jazz, Afro-Cuban rhythms, soul, and funk. Emerging in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Snowboy quickly established himself as a key figure in the UK’s acid jazz and Latin jazz scenes. His distinctive style blends authentic Afro-Caribbean percussion with contemporary grooves, creating energetic and danceable music that honors traditional sounds while pushing genre boundaries.

Throughout his career, Snowboy has released numerous acclaimed albums such as *Ritmo Snowbo* (1993) and *Descarga Mambito* (2006), showcasing his mastery of congas and other hand percussion instruments.
