The Singapore Symphony Orchestra will perform at the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay in Singapore on May 6, 2027. The Singapore Symphony Orchestra is recognized for its versatile repertoire encompassing classical masterworks, contemporary compositions, and cross-genre collaborations. Established in 1979, the orchestra has developed a reputation for artistic excellence and actively promotes musical education and outreach programs within Singapore and internationally. Its performances frequently feature both established soloists and emerging talents.

The Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, commonly known as the ‘Durian’ due to its architectural design, officially opened in October 2002. It serves as Singapore’s national performing arts centre. Designed by RSP Architects Planners & Engineers and DP Architects, the complex aims to provide a space for diverse artistic expression and cultural exchange. It houses a Concert Hall seating approximately 1,600 patrons, a Theatre with around 2,000 seats, a smaller recital studio, an outdoor theatre (the Esplanade Theatre), and various exhibition spaces. The Esplanade is committed to presenting a wide range of performances including orchestral concerts, dance productions, theatre performances, and contemporary music events.
