The Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) will perform at the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay on January 8, 2027. The Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, often referred to simply as the Esplanade, opened in October 2002. It is a performing arts centre situated on the waterfront of Marina Bay. Designed by local architectural firm RSP Architects Planners & Engineers in collaboration with Michael Wilford & Partners, its distinctive design features a spiky dome structure inspired by the durian fruit and seashell forms.

The complex houses multiple performance venues including the Concert Hall, typically used for orchestral performances like this one, and the Theatre, catering to a wider range of productions. Beyond performances, the Esplanade also features public spaces designed to foster arts accessibility and community interaction. It quickly became a landmark building and central hub for artistic activity in Singapore.
