The Singapore Symphony Orchestra will perform at the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay on August 15, 2026. The Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) is recognized as one of the leading orchestras in Southeast Asia, performing a broad repertoire encompassing Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and 20th/21st-century works. While maintaining a core commitment to standard orchestral literature, the SSO frequently commissions and performs works by Singaporean and regional composers, demonstrating a dedication to contemporary music and cultural representation. The orchestra is known for its versatility, undertaking collaborations across diverse genres including cross-cultural performances and film scores.

The Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, often referred to simply as the Esplanade, opened in October 2002. It is a performing arts centre situated on the waterfront of Marina Bay. Designed with a distinctive dome-shaped exterior inspired by the durian fruit and orchid petals, it aims to be a welcoming space for artists and audiences alike. The complex houses multiple performance venues including the Concert Hall—where the SSO will perform—the Theatre, and outdoor spaces used for free performances.
