Experience Singapore Symphony Orchestra live on July 17th

The Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) will perform at the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay on July 17, 2026. The SSO is recognized as Singapore’s flagship orchestra and performs a broad repertoire encompassing orchestral standards from the Baroque period through to contemporary works. While historically rooted in European classical traditions, the orchestra actively commissions and performs pieces by Southeast Asian composers, fostering a distinct regional voice within its programming. The SSO regularly collaborates with internationally renowned soloists and conductors.

The Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, commonly known as the ‘Durian’ due to its architectural design, opened in October 2002. It serves as Singapore’s national performing arts centre. Designed by Michael Wilford and Partners, the complex aims to provide a space for both local and international artists across various disciplines including music, dance, theatre and visual arts. It features a Concert Hall seating approximately 1,800 patrons, a Theatre with around 2,000 seats, and an outdoor theatre space along Marina Bay.
