Simone Young, an Australian conductor renowned for her interpretations of both standard repertoire and contemporary works, will perform at Oslo Konserthus on April 7, 2027. She has built a distinguished career leading major opera houses and orchestras internationally, including positions as Music Director of the Hamburg State Opera and the Sydney Opera House.

Oslo Konserthus, completed in 1977, serves as the primary concert hall for the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and hosts a wide range of musical events. Designed by architects Arkitektgruppen VA and built with significant acoustic consideration, it replaced the older Musikforeningen which had served Oslo’s musical life since 1899. The building’s architecture is characterized by its concrete construction and integration into the surrounding parkland. It features a main hall seating approximately 1,800 people, known for its warm acoustic properties achieved through careful shaping and material selection. The Konserthus is considered a landmark building within Oslo's cultural landscape and regularly hosts internationally acclaimed artists.
