Saint James The Great is a Grade I listed Anglican church located in Piccadilly, central London. Originally built in 1684 by Sir Christopher Wren as part of the rebuilding program following the Great Fire of London, it is one of the city’s twelve Wren churches. Notably, it narrowly avoided demolition in the 1930s due to its architectural significance and unique interior featuring a hammerbeam roof – an unusual element for Wren's designs. Throughout its history the church has served not only as a place of worship but also hosted various cultural events including concerts showcasing diverse musical genres.
