Shabaka Hutchings is a British jazz saxophonist and composer known for his work exploring the intersections of jazz, grime, and spiritual sounds. His musical output often features complex arrangements, improvisation, and a strong rhythmic drive, drawing on both contemporary and traditional influences. He leads several projects including Sons of Kemet, Shabaka and the Ancestors, and Shabaka Hutchings Quintet, each with a distinct sonic palette while retaining his signature compositional approach.

Multiple Venues – Bristol is a collaborative initiative encompassing several independent arts spaces within Bristol, United Kingdom. Rather than being a single building, it utilizes a network of existing venues – specifically The Cube, Trinity Centre and St George’s Bristol – to host larger-scale events that wouldn’t be possible within the capacity of any one location individually. This partnership allows for a broader range of artistic programming and aims to support the city’s vibrant independent cultural scene. The project began in 2023 as a response to logistical challenges faced by artists seeking suitable spaces in Bristol.
