St George's Bristol is a Grade II* listed concert hall renowned for its exceptional acoustics. Originally built in 1836 as a church dedicated to St George, it was converted into a concert venue in 1975 following a period of disuse. The building retains many of its original architectural features, including stained glass windows and a vaulted ceiling, contributing to its unique atmosphere. It’s particularly celebrated for hosting a broad range of musical genres – from classical and jazz to world music and contemporary performances – emphasizing acoustic sound quality. The hall has become a significant cultural hub within Bristol, hosting both internationally acclaimed performers and local artists. Its capacity is approximately 600 seated or 800 standing.
