Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall, opened in 1980, is the principal concert hall of the San Francisco Symphony and home to other performing arts organizations. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the hall is renowned for its acoustics, which were significantly improved through renovations completed in 2013. The hall seats approximately 2,707 patrons and features a distinctive concrete exterior. It's located within the larger War Memorial Veterans Building complex in San Francisco’s Civic Center. The hall has hosted numerous internationally acclaimed orchestras and soloists throughout its history and remains a central venue for classical music performance in the Bay Area.
