Searching for Home, a contemporary jazz quartet originating from Berlin, will be performing at Birdland in Hamburg on November 11, 2026. Their music blends elements of post-bop improvisation with influences from modern classical and electronic soundscapes, often featuring complex harmonic structures and atmospheric textures. The group consists of Elias Müller on saxophone, Clara Schmidt on piano, Jonas Weber on bass, and Lena Hartmann on drums. They released their debut album “Ephemeral Echoes” in 2023 to critical acclaim within the German jazz scene.
Birdland Hamburg is a renowned jazz club established in 1969, initially founded by Horst Walter. It has a long history of hosting both established international jazz musicians and emerging talent. The venue is known for its intimate atmosphere and excellent acoustics, consistently ranking among Germany’s premier jazz locations. Unlike the original Birdland in New York City – which closed in 1965 – the Hamburg iteration operates independently but carries the legacy of the iconic name through its dedication to live jazz performance. Over the decades, Birdland Hamburg has undergone several renovations while maintaining its core commitment to showcasing high-quality jazz music.
