Seminary 17 is a historic building repurposed as a performance venue and recording studio. Originally constructed in 1893 as the Mercer County Missionary Baptist Association’s seminary, it served an educational function for the local Baptist community for several decades. The building fell into disuse before being acquired and renovated by musician and producer Dave Krusen (formerly of Pearl Jam) in the early 2000s. Krusen transformed the space into a professional-grade recording facility while retaining much of its original architectural character. The venue now hosts live musical events showcasing a range of artists, emphasizing quality sound within an intimate setting.
