Experience Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox live on November 12th

Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox is scheduled to perform at Hoyt Sherman Place in Des Moines, Iowa on November 12, 2026. The ensemble is known for reimagining popular modern songs in vintage styles, primarily those prominent before the advent of rock and roll – including jazz, blues, ragtime, and swing. Arrangements frequently feature period-appropriate instrumentation and vocal stylings, offering a nostalgic yet contemporary listening experience.

Hoyt Sherman Place is a historic performing arts venue located in downtown Des Moines. Originally constructed in 1928 as a vaudeville house and movie palace, it was designed by the architectural firm Proudfoot & Bird and remains one of the few remaining examples of atmospheric theatre design in the Midwest. The building underwent significant renovations in the 1980s to restore many of its original architectural features.

Currently, Hoyt Sherman Place functions as a multi-purpose venue hosting a variety of events including concerts, theatrical performances, lectures, and community gatherings. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and continues to serve as a cultural hub for the Des Moines metropolitan area. The venue boasts a seating capacity of approximately 1,400.
