Experience Schmalgauzen live on August 9th

Schmalgauzen, a musical project spearheaded by Austrian artist Bernhard Hammer, will perform at Club Roxy Prague on August 9th, 2026. Schmalgauzen’s music is generally described as experimental electronic, often incorporating elements of IDM (Intelligent Dance Music), glitch, and ambient textures. Characterized by complex rhythms, detailed sound design and a focus on abstract sonic landscapes, the project has released albums on established electronic music labels such as Mille Plateaux and Ritornell. Hammer’s work frequently explores the intersection of technology and sound, resulting in compositions that are both challenging and meticulously crafted.

Club Roxy Prague is a well-known venue in the Czech capital with a history dating back to its establishment in 1999. Originally conceived as an independent cultural centre and club, it quickly became a significant hub for alternative music scenes – encompassing rock, indie, electronic and experimental genres. Located near Prague's Old Town Square, Roxy boasts two primary spaces: the main concert hall known for hosting international acts and a smaller club room offering a more intimate setting. Throughout its existence it has hosted numerous internationally recognized artists alongside emerging local talent and remains an important part of Prague’s nightlife and music culture.
