Saxsquatch is scheduled to perform at the Skyway Theatre in Minneapolis, Minnesota on September 20, 2026. The musical project, led by Jake Wood, blends elements of funk, jazz, and electronic dance music, often incorporating improvisational saxophone solos over driving beats and layered production. Performances are known for energetic stage presence and a focus on instrumental interplay. Saxsquatch gained prominence through viral videos showcasing Wood’s distinctive saxophone playing and has since released several studio albums and extensively toured.

The Skyway Theatre, located in the heart of Minneapolis’ downtown entertainment district, has a history dating back to 1919. Originally opened as a movie palace named the Globe Theatre, it underwent several name changes – including the Paramount Theatre – before becoming the Skyway Theatre in 1998. The venue features two distinct spaces: a larger main room with a standing capacity of approximately 1,200 and a smaller, more intimate club space. It is known for hosting a diverse range of events including concerts, theatrical performances, and private functions. The theatre’s architecture retains many original art deco features from its early years while incorporating modern sound and lighting systems.
