The Opera House, located in the vibrant Entertainment District of Toronto at 735 Queen Street East, has a long history as a performance venue. Originally built in 1921 as a Vaudeville theatre and cinema named The New Pavilion, it underwent several name changes before becoming The Opera House in 1989. It’s known for its intimate standing-room-only format and has hosted a diverse range of artists across genres including rock, punk, metal, hip-hop and electronic music. The venue retains much of its original architectural detail while offering modern sound and lighting capabilities.
