Ruben Fox is a British singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music blends elements of soul, jazz, and alternative R&B. Characterized by intricate arrangements, often featuring Rhodes piano and subtle electronic textures, his songwriting explores themes of introspection, relationships, and modern life. He gained recognition through independent releases and collaborative work with other artists within the UK neo-soul scene.

The venue for the performance is Koko, a Grade I listed former theatre located in Camden Town, London. Originally opened in 1900 as the Camden Theatre, it underwent several transformations throughout its history including periods as a cinema and BBC television studio. Renowned for its ornate Victorian architecture – particularly its impressive dome and grand staircase – Koko has hosted a diverse range of performances since reopening as a live music venue in the early 1970s.

Significant restoration work was completed in 2022 following a fire in 2020; the venue now boasts enhanced sound and lighting systems while retaining its historical features. Koko’s capacity is approximately 1,400 standing or 800 seated, making it a popular mid-sized venue for both established and emerging artists.
