Rodrigo y Gabriela are a Mexican acoustic guitar duo renowned for their energetic and innovative instrumental compositions. Their music blends flamenco, rock, and metal influences, characterized by rapid-fire fingerpicking, percussive techniques on the guitar bodies, and complex rhythmic interplay. Originally busking on the streets of Ireland in the late 1990s, they gained international recognition through word-of-mouth and online videos before releasing their self-titled debut album in 2003. The Boulder Theater, the venue for their November 6th, 2026 performance, is a historic landmark in Boulder, Colorado. Originally opened in 1909 as the Boulder Opera House, it underwent several transformations including periods as a vaudeville house and a movie theater. Restored to its former glory in the 1970s, it now functions primarily as a live music venue and hosts a diverse range of performances.
