Covered Bridge Park is a public park situated along the Watauga River in Elizabethton. It’s named for the original covered bridge that spanned the river at that location – though the original structure was replaced in 1971 after flood damage, a replica was constructed in 2015 to honor the site's history. The park features walking trails, picnic areas, a playground and is frequently used for community events and outdoor performances. It serves as a popular recreational space for residents and visitors to Carter County.
