Teatro Albéniz opened in 1925 as a cinema before being converted into a theatre in 1932. Originally named Teatro de la Comedia Musical, it was renamed Teatro Albéniz in honour of the Spanish composer Isaac Albéniz in 1952. The theatre underwent a significant renovation completed in 2020, restoring many of its original Art Deco features while modernizing its facilities.
