Experience Rhiannon Giddens live on September 27th

Rhiannon Giddens is a celebrated American musician known for her expansive work exploring the intersections of historical and contemporary music. Her style blends elements of traditional American roots music – including blues, jazz, country, and early minstrelsy – with influences from Celtic and African musical traditions. Giddens frequently employs banjo, fiddle, and vocals to illuminate often-overlooked narratives within American history, particularly those relating to slavery and the African American experience. She is a MacArthur Fellow and has received numerous awards for her contributions to the arts.

The Philharmonie Luxembourg serves as the nation’s primary concert hall dedicated to classical music, though its programming extends to include jazz, contemporary music, and world music performances. Opened in 2005, the building was designed by Paul Wiltgen and boasts exceptional acoustics. It is located within the Dreipötzchenpark in Kirchberg, a modern district of Luxembourg City. The hall features a Grande Salle with seating for over 1,500 patrons and a smaller Chamber Music Hall. The Philharmonie is home to the Orchestre National de Luxembourg (Luxembourg National Orchestra) and hosts a wide array of international artists annually.
