Birdland Marina is an outdoor performance space affiliated with the historic Birdland Jazz Club in Manhattan. Originally established in 1949, the original Birdland club was a legendary venue that hosted nearly every major jazz artist of its time. While the original location closed in 1965, the name was revived in 1986 and continues to operate as a prominent jazz club today. Birdland Marina extends the club’s programming to an open-air setting during warmer months, offering a waterfront view alongside live performances. The Marina space aims to recreate some of the convivial atmosphere of the original club while providing a different acoustic experience.
