Rafael Payare will conduct a concert at La Maison Symphonique de Montréal on February 14, 2027. Payare, currently Music Director of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra (MSO), is recognized for his dynamic interpretations and a deeply expressive approach to orchestral music. His style often highlights clarity of texture and emotional depth, drawing from a broad repertoire encompassing both standard works and lesser-known compositions. He frequently champions Latin American composers, reflecting his Venezuelan heritage.

La Maison Symphonique de Montréal, home of the MSO, opened in 2011 and is widely considered one of the world’s finest concert halls. It replaced the Salle Wilfred-Pelletier within Place des Arts, the city's performing arts complex. The hall was designed by Provencher_Roy architects in collaboration with acoustics firm Artec Consultants Inc., prioritizing exceptional sound quality through innovative architectural solutions. A key feature is its adjustable acoustics allowing for optimization depending on the performance – orchestral, chamber music or amplified events. The hall’s design also focuses on creating an intimate connection between performers and audience members despite its substantial size, holding approximately 1,900 seats.
