Experience Daniel Hope live on January 23rd
Daniel Hope will perform at Bourgie Hall in Montreal, Canada on January 23, 2027. Hope is a South African-born British violinist known for his versatile repertoire spanning classical masterworks, crossover projects incorporating jazz and popular music elements, and a commitment to rediscovering neglected works by composers affected by the Nazi regime. His performances are frequently characterized by a warm tone, technical precision, and engaging stage presence; he often incorporates storytelling into his concerts.
Bourgie Hall is located within the Morrin Centre, a historic building in Montreal’s Old Montreal district. Originally constructed in 1806 as the residence of James O’Keefe, a wealthy merchant, it was later acquired by the Religious Hospitaller Order of Saint Joseph and transformed into a college and hospital in 1854. The hall itself was initially the college chapel and features notable neo-Gothic architecture including stained glass windows and ornate woodwork. Restored in the late 20th century, Bourgie Hall now functions primarily as a concert venue renowned for its excellent acoustics and intimate atmosphere, hosting primarily chamber music and solo recitals. It is considered one of Montreal’s significant cultural landmarks.
