La Maison Symphonique de Montréal, inaugurated in 2011, is the primary performance hall for the OSM and a significant cultural landmark in Montreal. It replaced the Salle Wilfred-Pelletier, which had served as the orchestra’s home since 1946. Designed by Jack Diamond and Associates, the hall is renowned for its exceptional acoustics, achieved through innovative architectural features including a ‘shoe box’ shape and adjustable reverberation mechanisms. The building forms part of the Place des Arts complex, a major performing arts centre in Quebec. It's construction aimed to address limitations of the previous hall regarding sound quality & audience experience, establishing itself as one of North America’s premier concert venues.
