Originally opening as a cinema in 1934 – initially named the Regal – it was later repurposed as a music venue in the 1980s. Throughout its history, it has hosted performances by numerous well-known artists across various genres including rock, indie, electronic and world music. It’s known for its relatively intimate capacity of approximately 2,300 standing or 1,200 seated, providing a close connection between performers and audience members.
