Experience Quatuor Ébène live on December 17th
Quatuor Ébène is a French string quartet renowned for its interpretations of classical repertoire infused with a vibrant, expressive style. Often noted for their rhythmic precision, refined phrasing, and a willingness to explore diverse musical colors, the quartet frequently programs works alongside arrangements of pieces originally composed for other instruments. Their approach balances respect for tradition with a contemporary sensibility, attracting a broad audience.
The concert will take place at Philharmonie de Paris, a major concert hall inaugurated in January 2015. Located in the Parc de la Villette in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, the Philharmonie de Paris is designed by Jean Nouvel and houses two primary performance spaces: the Grande Salle Pierre Boulez, known for its adjustable acoustics and vineyard-style seating arrangement; and the smaller Salle de Découvertes.
The complex represents France’s first purpose-built concert hall designed specifically for acoustic excellence and aims to be a national institution dedicated to all musical genres. It replaced earlier, less suitable venues used by major orchestras and serves as a hub for musical education and outreach programs alongside hosting performances by internationally acclaimed ensembles and soloists. The building's architecture incorporates innovative features intended to enhance both performer and audience experience.
