Schloss Amerang is a historic castle located in the municipality of Amerang in Bavaria, Germany. Originally built in the 13th century, the castle underwent significant Renaissance restructuring in the 16th century under the von Toerring family. Throughout its history it served various purposes including a residence for Bavarian nobility and a monastery estate.

In 1978, Schloss Amerang was acquired by the East German author Stefan Heym who established it as a cultural center dedicated to promoting intellectual exchange between East and West during the Cold War. Today, it continues to function as a cultural venue hosting concerts, exhibitions, workshops and seminars focusing on art, literature and music. The castle grounds include a baroque garden and offer a picturesque setting for events.
