Quadro Nuevo will perform at Schloss Sulzemoos on July 16, 2026. The ensemble is known for its distinctive blend of tango nuevo, jazz, and elements of world music. Formed in 1996, Quadro Nuevo features a unique instrumentation – bandoneon, piano, double bass, and drums – creating a sound characterized by both virtuosity and emotional depth. Their compositions often incorporate improvisation alongside structured arrangements, drawing inspiration from Argentine tango traditions while simultaneously exploring contemporary musical landscapes.

Schloss Sulzemoos, located in the municipality of Sulzemoos, Bavaria, dates back to the 16th century. Originally a moated castle belonging to the noble family of the von Rechberg, it underwent significant Baroque restructuring in the 18th century under the von Gravenreuth family. The current appearance largely reflects this later renovation. Throughout its history, the Schloss served as a residence for various aristocratic families and was utilized for agricultural purposes. In recent decades it has been restored and functions as a cultural venue hosting concerts, exhibitions and other events. The building is recognized as a listed monument due to its historical and architectural significance within the region.
