Experience Pygmalion live on March 25th
Pygmalion will perform at the Philharmonie de Paris on March 25, 2027. Pygmalion is a French ensemble specializing in early music performance practice, notably focusing on vocal and instrumental works from the 17th and 18th centuries. Their interpretations are characterized by historically informed performance, utilizing period instruments and a refined approach to ornamentation and phrasing, often exploring lesser-known composers alongside established figures like Rameau and Charpentier. The ensemble was founded in 1978 by Gabriel Garrido.
The Philharmonie de Paris is a concert hall complex inaugurated in January 2015, located in the Parc de la Villette in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. Designed by architect Jean Nouvel, it is home to three concert halls: the Grande Salle Pierre Boulez (the main hall), the Salle de Découvertes, and the Studio. The Grande Salle Pierre Boulez is renowned for its adjustable acoustics, designed to accommodate a wide range of musical genres. The complex aims to be a national center for music, encompassing performance spaces, educational facilities, and a museum dedicated to musical instruments – the Musée de la Musique.
