Experience Pygmalion live on November 10th
Pygmalion, an ensemble dedicated to historically informed performance practice, will present a concert at the Philharmonie de Paris on November 10, 2026. The group, founded by Raphaël Pichon, specializes in French Baroque and Classical repertoire, often focusing on lesser-known composers alongside established figures like Rameau and Charpentier. Their interpretations are noted for their rhythmic vitality, clarity of texture, and dramatic expressiveness achieved through research into period instruments and performance techniques.
The Philharmonie de Paris is a modern concert hall complex inaugurated in January 2015. Located in the Parc de la Villette in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, it is designed by architect Jean Nouvel and houses two primary concert venues: the Grande Salle Pierre Boulez – known for its adjustable acoustics and vineyard-style seating – and the smaller Salle de Découvertes. The complex also includes exhibition spaces, educational facilities, and a restaurant. It serves as a major venue for classical music performances, as well as jazz, contemporary music, and other genres.
