Experience Punch Brothers live on October 2nd

Punch Brothers will be performing at Revolution Hall in Portland, Oregon on October 2nd, 2026. The band is recognized for their innovative approach to bluegrass music, blending traditional instrumentation with elements of jazz, classical, and progressive rock. Formed in 2006, Punch Brothers—comprising Chris Thile on mandolin, Noam Pikelny on banjo, Gabe Witcher on fiddle, Paul Kowert on bass, and Chris Eldridge on guitar—are known for complex arrangements, virtuosic playing, and thoughtful songwriting often exploring narrative themes.

Revolution Hall occupies a building with a rich history. Originally constructed in 1909 as a high school, it served as Portland’s first public high school until 1981. Following its closure as an educational facility, the building underwent periods of disuse and various proposed developments. It was eventually renovated and reopened as a music venue and event space in 2011. The hall maintains many of its original architectural features including a large auditorium space with tiered seating and a prominent stage. It's known for its excellent acoustics and intimate atmosphere compared to larger arenas within the city.
