Prohibition Stompers, a band originating from Vienna, Austria, perform a high-energy style of music rooted in 1920s and 30s jazz, swing, and early blues. Their sound is characterized by driving rhythms, prominent horn sections – typically featuring trumpet, trombone and saxophone – and often incorporates elements of Dixieland and hot jazz. The group is known for its lively stage presence and commitment to recreating the atmosphere of the Prohibition era.

The concert is scheduled to take place at Simon Mühle in Trofaiach, Styria. Simon Mühle is a historical industrial complex originally built as a sawmill in 1846 by Johann Simon. Throughout its history, it transitioned through various uses including flour milling powered by water from the nearby River Mur. By the 20th century it became primarily a paper mill before falling into disuse.

In recent years, Simon Mühle has been revitalized as a cultural venue hosting diverse events including concerts, exhibitions, and workshops. The site retains much of its original industrial architecture, providing a unique backdrop for performances. The buildings are listed monuments and represent an important part of Trofaiach’s industrial heritage.
