Monika Roscher Bigband will perform at the Orpheum in Graz, Austria on April 11, 2027. The band is recognized for its contemporary big band jazz, blending traditional arrangements with modern harmonies and improvisational elements. Their repertoire frequently incorporates original compositions alongside interpretations of pieces from diverse genres, often featuring vocalists. Roscher herself is a prominent trombonist and arranger within the European jazz scene.

The Orpheum Graz is a historic venue originally constructed in 1909 as a “Totaltheater” – a multi-purpose entertainment space – designed by architect Ferdinand Fellner the Younger of Fellner & Helmer. Initially hosting operettas, plays, and variety shows, it underwent several transformations throughout the 20th century including periods as a cinema and a television studio.

Significant renovations were completed in 2004, restoring many of its original Art Nouveau features while modernizing its technical capabilities. Today, the Orpheum functions primarily as a concert hall and event space, accommodating a wide range of performances including orchestral concerts, musicals, and contemporary music events.
