Palast Orchester will be performing at the Metropol Theater Bremen on April 30, 2027. The ensemble is known for its interpretations of Weimar-era salon and dance music, often described as “Salonorchester” style. Their repertoire largely consists of pieces from the 1920s and 1930s, including compositions by James Last and selections reminiscent of silent film orchestras, characterized by a blend of jazz influences, waltzes, and popular tunes of the period. The orchestra maintains a traditional sound while incorporating contemporary arrangements.

The Metropol Theater Bremen has a history dating back to 1908, originally opening as the “Central-Theater”. Throughout its existence, it has functioned primarily as a variety theatre showcasing revues, operettas, and musical performances. Following damage during World War II, it was rebuilt and renamed the Metropol Theater in 1952. The venue is noted for its intimate atmosphere and ornate Art Nouveau architecture which was largely preserved during reconstruction. It continues to host a diverse program of events including concerts, cabaret shows and theatrical productions; remaining a significant cultural landmark within Bremen.
