Experience Osmo Vänskä live on February 4th
Osmo Vänskä will conduct a concert at La Maison Symphonique de Montréal on February 4, 2027. Vänskä is a Finnish conductor internationally recognized for his interpretations of composers such as Sibelius, Shostakovich, and Stravinsky. His conducting style is often described as precise, analytical, and focused on clarity of texture and structure, prioritizing faithfulness to the score while revealing its emotional depth. He previously served as Chief Conductor of the Lahti Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, and the Minnesota Orchestra.
La Maison Symphonique de Montréal, inaugurated in 2011, is the primary performance hall for the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal (OSM). It is located within Place des Arts, a major performing arts complex in Montreal’s Quartier des Spectacles. The hall replaced the previous Salle Wilfred-Pelletier which had served as the OSM’s home since 1963. Designed by Diamond Schmitt Architects, La Maison Symphonique is renowned for its exceptional acoustics – achieved through a “shoe-box” design and adjustable elements – and has been lauded as one of the finest concert halls in North America.
