Experience Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo live on August 28th
Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo (OSESP) is recognized as one of the leading orchestras in Latin America, consistently performing a broad repertoire encompassing Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and 20th/21st-century works. The orchestra is known for its dedication to both standard orchestral literature and contemporary Brazilian compositions, frequently commissioning new pieces and promoting national artists. OSP’s sound is generally characterized by a rich tonal quality and dynamic range.
The performance on August 28, 2026 will take place at Sala São Paulo. Originally built as the Júlio Prestes Train Station, completed in 1897, the building underwent extensive renovation between 1999 and 2002 to transform it into a world-class concert hall. The architectural redesign, led by architect Paulo Brummund, preserved the station’s historical facade while creating an acoustically optimized interior.
Sala São Paulo is celebrated for its exceptional acoustics, often compared to those of Musikverein in Vienna and Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Its design incorporates Italian plasterwork and Brazilian wood finishes. The hall has become a central hub for classical music in Brazil and hosts international ensembles alongside OSP performances.
