Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo (OSESP) is recognized as one of Brazil’s leading symphony orchestras, with a repertoire spanning from Baroque to contemporary works. The orchestra is particularly noted for its interpretations of Brazilian composers alongside the standard orchestral canon, and frequently commissions new pieces. OSP consistently collaborates with internationally renowned soloists.

The concert on August 27, 2026, will be held at Sala São Paulo, a prominent concert hall located in the Júlio Prestes Cultural Center in São Paulo. Originally built between 1911 and 1916 to serve as the city’s train station, the building underwent extensive renovation and was inaugurated as a concert venue in 1999.

Sala São Paulo is celebrated for its exceptional acoustics, considered among the best in the world, achieved through careful architectural design including a ‘floating box’ construction isolating it from external vibrations. The hall’s design incorporates Brazilian materials like Jacaranda wood and features a striking stained-glass dome. It is home to OSP and hosts a variety of classical music performances throughout the year. The hall has capacity for approximately 2,442 people.
