Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid (OCM) is a Spanish orchestra with a broad repertoire encompassing works from the Baroque period to contemporary compositions. The Teatro Auditorio de San Lorenzo de El Escorial is situated within the Royal Monastery of El Escorial, a historical residence of the King of Spain, designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1984. Originally conceived as a palace, monastery, and burial site for Spanish monarchs, the complex also includes a theatre and auditorium. The current Teatro Auditorio dates largely from renovations completed in the 1960s, though it builds upon earlier theatrical spaces within the monastery’s structure.
