Orchestra Mambo International will be performing at Lighthouse, Poole on November 20, 2026. The ensemble specialises in recreating the vibrant sounds of 1940s and 50s Latin big band mambo, drawing heavily from the repertoires of artists like Pérez Prado, Dámaso Pérez and Xavier Cugat. Their performances typically feature driving rhythms, powerful brass sections, and charismatic vocals, aiming to authentically reproduce the energy of the golden age of Latin dance music.

Lighthouse, Poole is a regional arts centre situated on the Dorset coastline. Opened in 1990, it functions as a multi-purpose venue encompassing a theatre, cinema and visual arts gallery. Originally conceived as a replacement for the former Poole Arts Centre, its design by architects Rick Mather and Peter Moro incorporates a distinctive wave-like roof structure intended to evoke the maritime environment. The building underwent a significant refurbishment and expansion completed in 2023, enhancing its accessibility and facilities. It hosts a diverse programme of national and international performances including theatre productions, dance shows, live music events and film screenings alongside exhibiting contemporary art. The venue is operated by BCP Council.
