Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, one of Italy’s oldest and most prestigious musical institutions, will perform at Auditorium Parco della Musica on March 25, 2027. The orchestra’s repertoire is broad, encompassing works from the Baroque period through contemporary compositions, with a particular strength in Italian opera and symphonic music. Historically linked to the patronage of the Roman aristocracy and the Catholic Church, the orchestra today maintains a commitment to both preserving classical traditions and fostering new musical voices.
Auditorium Parco della Musica, inaugurated in 2011, is a major performing arts complex in Rome designed by Renzo Piano. The *Santa Cecilia Hall*, where the orchestra will perform, is its largest and most acoustically significant space. Noted for its vineyard-style seating arrangement – surrounding the stage on three sides – it aims to create an intimate connection between performers and audience while maximizing sound quality. The hall’s design incorporates advanced acoustic technology to ensure optimal clarity and resonance. The entire complex was envisioned as a revitalisation project for the Flaminio district of Rome, offering spaces for diverse musical genres alongside classical performance.
