Coro Dell'Accademia Nazionale Di Santa Cecilia, one of Italy’s oldest and most prestigious choral institutions, will perform at the Auditorium Parco Della Musica in Rome on October 28, 2026. The choir’s repertoire spans a broad historical period, with a particular focus on Renaissance polyphony, Baroque masterpieces, and 20th and 21st-century compositions. They are known for their precision, vocal blend, and interpretations of both sacred and secular works, often collaborating with leading orchestras and conductors internationally. The Accademia itself dates back to 1585, though the current choral form evolved over centuries.
The concert will take place within the Santa Cecilia Hall, the largest of the three halls comprising the Auditorium Parco Della Musica. Opened in 2002, the Auditorium was designed by Renzo Piano and is a significant landmark in contemporary Roman architecture. Santa Cecilia Hall is renowned for its exceptional acoustics, achieved through careful design incorporating maple wood and a ‘shoe box’ shape optimized for orchestral and choral performance. It accommodates over 2,800 people and regularly hosts performances by the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia orchestra as well as international ensembles.
